Josh Barfield couldn’t wait to make the trip Wednesday. A Cleveland Indians’ split squad was going to Dunedin, the spring training home of the Toronto Blue Jays - his father’s former team.
“It’s exciting. I kind of had goose bumps when I looked at the schedule today and saw it was the Blue Jays, so I decided to be here,” the younger Barfield before the teams played a 0-0, 10-inning tie. “I know my dad’s excited. He will be listening to the game.
